The Visionaire Penthouse and Terrace

Roof garden and harbor views in Battery Park LEED building

In an extraordinary setting 33 stories above the mouth of the Hudson River, Fradkin & McAlpin reconfigured, customized, and furnished a new Battery Park City penthouse in a LEED-platinum building. The 2,300 sf terrace was converted to a yard-like, intensive green roof, with seating and gathering areas, pergola, gardens, mini orchard, and yoga space. The client, an avid gardener, uses the space year-round as the focus of his city-gardening blog.
