Fradkin & McAlpin’s complete overhaul to an 1899 apartment building enlarges, modernizes, and rationalizes the building as the UN home for the Czech Mission. The new layout increases the total number of apartments, including a large Ambassador’s duplex. Relocating the building’s core to the rear yard enables better layouts and a larger floor plate. A new penthouse addition includes entertainment spaces, both inside and outside, under a pergola.
