We believe that good design is the inevitable result of diligent methodical study of a problem and all its parameters—among them sustainability, functionality, budget, schedule, context, and aesthetics. To arrive at the final design solution, we synthesize the facts and objectives and balance opposing concerns. If historic structures and fabric are involved, we target elements to restore and/or preserve, appreciating the synergies resulting from integrating the modern with the old.
